Nashville-based indie folk and Americana band Birdtalker opened the event at 16:30 in the afternoon and brought an intimate, unforced energy to the stage, delivering a performance that felt less like a conventional concert and more like an acoustic gathering among friends.
Formed in 2012 by husband-and-wife duo Zack and Dani Green, the band has developed a distinctive sound that draws together elements of alternative country, folk and Americana. At the heart of the performance were the Greens’ delicate, front-and-centre vocal harmonies. The set moved comfortably between emotional vulnerability and a quietly uplifting energy. Songs including “Dogs & Rocks,” “Nothing’s Right,” “Blue Healer,” “Season of Charade,” “Auto Domesticated Animal” and “Heavy” highlighted the band’s ability to turn introspective songwriting into something communal. Birdtalker’s strength lies in a balance between intimacy and openness: music that can feel deeply personal while simultaneously bringing a room of strangers together.
