Finn Forster opening for Des Rock at Gebäude 9
The British singer-songwriter Finn Forster draws on a mix of indie rock, alternative rock and pop, with a touch of country thrown into the mix.
He kicked off his opening set for Des Rocs with “Circles” and quickly won over the crowd. Backed by a four-piece band, Forster brought considerably more to the stage than the average opening act, delivering a convincing performance with plenty of character.
The set also featured his latest single, “Blame It On You,” released in early October. “Grey Skies” was also a fitting song for the rainy night.
Overall, Forster made a strong impression. His music avoids falling into the cookie-cutter rabbit hole of TikTok Americana that has become so popular with Gen Z audiences. Instead, he offers a sound that feels more individual, blending different influences without getting trapped in a predictable formula.
Finn Forster will return to Cologne for a headliner show on March 18, 2027.
