The German dark rock and progressive gothic metal band Schöngeist opened the night for ASP with a 30-minute set. The group blended dark gothic atmospheres with electronic elements. The band featured a vocalist, a drummer and two guitarists, while the bass lines and synthesizer sounds came from backing tracks. Their musical style was close to what the headliner delivered later, which made them a fitting choice as the opening act.
