Trentemøller to Play Three Shows in Germany in Spring 2027
Anyone who has experienced Copenhagen-based Anders Trentemøller live knows of his fascinating ability to completely draw an audience into his sonic world—a style that might be described as “danceable melancholy.” Stylistically, Trentemøller weaves together electro, shoegaze, synth-pop, and dream-pop, creating tracks that are sometimes instrumental and sometimes feature hand-picked guest vocalists. His powerful album *Dreamweaver*, released in 2024, lives up to its name; it is dreamily beautiful, relying on an atmospheric, ethereal sound that can quickly shift into darkness (as heard on “Nightfall,” featuring vocalist Dísa, who appears on eight of the ten tracks). “I Give My Tears,” meanwhile, is a noisy, psychedelic affair—the perfect soundtrack to an illuminating nightmare.
His live shows are captivating not only because Trentemøller employs atmospheric lighting and visuals, but also because he is always accompanied by a band capable of perfectly translating the nuances of his music to the stage. When he returns to Germany for three concerts in February and March 2027, he will be joined by Emma Acs (vocals and synthesizer), Silas Tinglef (drums), Brian Batz (guitar), Jacob Haubjerg (bass and guitar), and, of course, Anders Trentemøller (synthesizer).
