Solstafir & Enslaved
In February 2027, three names representing very different facets of Nordic extreme music will unite for a joint tour: SÓLSTAFIR and ENSLAVED are embarking on a co-headlining tour, joined by special guests GAAHLS WYRD—led by the charismatic vocalist Gaahl.
SÓLSTAFIR have long since transcended the boundaries of traditional black and post-metal. The Icelandic band blends raw heaviness with expansive, melancholic soundscapes and a unique form of Nordic wistfulness. Their music thrives on both grand moments and subtle nuances, ranging from explosive intensity and psychedelic passages to an unmistakable Icelandic atmosphere.
ENSLAVED, meanwhile, have been a defining force in Norwegian extreme metal for over three decades. Originating in black metal, they have continuously expanded their musical spectrum, fusing progressive structures, psychedelic elements, and Norse mythology into a distinctive universe of their own. Their evolution exemplifies a band that has never been content to simply repeat past achievements.
GAAHLS WYRD round out the lineup as special guests. Led by Gaahl—one of the most distinctive voices in the history of Norwegian black metal—the project combines elements of classic black metal with a markedly more experimental and personal musical language. Their latest album, ‘Braiding the Stories’, focuses on a blend of introspection, atmosphere, and intense musical dynamics.
This joint tour brings three unique interpretations of Nordic extreme music to the stage—spanning the Icelandic expanses of SÓLSTAFIR and the progressive approach of ENSLAVED to the archaic intensity of GAAHLS WYRD.
