Heather Nova live in Germany 2027
Some songs change when they reach the stage. For Heather Nova, that transformation has always been at the heart of her music. The immediate connection between voice, instruments, and audience is what makes every concert a unique experience—and it takes center stage on her latest live release.
In spring 2027, the Bermudian singer-songwriter returns to Germany for six concerts, bringing more than three decades of songwriting to the stage alongside music from her upcoming new album, The Orchard.
Heather Nova first rose to international prominence with her 1994 breakthrough album Oyster. Blending indie pop, alternative rock, and the intimate tradition of the singer-songwriter, the album established the sound of an artist whose career has always been closely connected to the live experience. Whether performing with a full band on major festival stages or stripping the songs back to voice and guitar, Nova has a rare ability to create an intimate connection with her audience.
That intimate side of her artistry has come increasingly to the fore in recent years. Her 13th studio album, Breath and Air, was released in February 2025, featuring melodic arrangements and Nova’s unmistakable voice across songs about love, loss, longing, and the search for inner clarity. Following a sold-out European tour, March 2026 saw the release of the double live album Live in Europe, collecting 19 recordings from different shows. Alongside beloved older songs, the album features numerous tracks from Breath and Air.
On the live album—and on stage—Nova is accompanied solely by Midori Jaeger on cello and backing vocals. The stripped-back arrangement gives the songs room to breathe, placing Nova’s voice, the cello, and the emotional depth of the compositions firmly in the spotlight.
And there is already something new on the horizon. On October 30, 2026, Heather Nova will release her new studio album The Orchard on V2 Records. Recorded in London with producer Tim Bran, the album opens a new chapter in Nova’s songwriting. While retaining the reflective quality that has long defined her work, The Orchard turns its gaze more decisively toward hope, light, and the possibility of a fresh beginning.
For Nova, the magic of live music lies in precisely what cannot be recreated in the studio: the spontaneous exchange between artist and audience and the shared experience of being together in the same place, at the same time. At a moment when the boundaries between real and artificially generated content are becoming increasingly blurred, that human connection feels more important than ever.
In spring 2027, Heather Nova brings that connection back to Germany. Expect songs spanning more than three decades, intimate live arrangements, and music from The Orchard—performed by an artist who knows that some moments can only truly happen on stage.
