Gritty guitars, grand gestures, and emotions that refuse to hide behind a cool pose: Palaye Royale combine the raw power of rock ’n’ roll with a flair for spectacle. Brothers Remington Leith, Sebastian Danzig, and Emerson Barrett view music, fashion, and art as an integrated whole—giving their theatrical art-rock a distinctive identity.
Having grown up in Las Vegas, the trio was drawn to Los Angeles early on. They played hundreds of shows even before the 2016 release of their debut album, *Boom Boom Room (Side A)*. The stage became the place where their ideas came to life. With *The Bastards* (2020), *Fever Dream* (2022), and *Death or Glory* (2024), they further expanded their musical universe, incorporating raw guitar sounds, glamour, and soaring melodies.
However, there is more to their sixth studio album, *Amsterdamage*—set for release on January 22, 2027, via Sumerian Records—than just the next chapter in the band’s history. In 2024, the brothers lost their mother, Stephanie Rachel, their greatest supporter. Initially, each brother processed his grief in his own way, until working together on new songs brought them back together. The album was written in 2025 amidst a packed schedule and numerous concerts, in locations ranging from the San Diego coast to the Netherlands; it was ultimately completed at Chris Greatti’s studio in Los Angeles. Making music became the bond that held them together—a force without which they might well have gone their separate ways.
With their first single, “Lost In Translation,” Palaye Royale look back to the British rock bands of the 2000s that shaped their upbringing. Remington Leith describes the song as intentionally high-energy and designed for the stage. Yet, there is a conflict underlying this forward momentum: it is about holding onto a relationship or a dream, even when obstacles constantly get in the way. Instead of shaking off their doubts, the song carries them right into the euphoria, revealing a tension that suits a band for whom overflowing emotions and grand gestures go hand in hand.
After previously touring the region—including a stint supporting Yungblud—Palaye Royale are finally making their return. In March and April 2027, the trio will bring their “Amsterdamage” tour to Germany for four shows. In addition to Berlin and Cologne, the schedule includes two consecutive nights in Munich. This gives this personal new beginning a home where everything came together for the brothers early on: on stage, in direct connection with their audience.
