Cameron Whitcomb is a Canadian singer-songwriter who rose to prominence on season 20 of American Idoland has since become a major breakout star in the alternative country and folk-pop scenes. Known for his incredibly energetic live performances and brutally honest, raw lyrics, his music heavily explores his personal history with addiction, recovery, and working on oil pipelines. After leaving home at 17 to work a pipeline, he began posting videos to Reddit out of boredom. A talent scout noticed his voice, leading to his Top 20 run on American Idol. He achieved major mainstream success with his 2024 debut EP Quitter. He released his highly acclaimed 15-track debut studio album, The Hard Way, on September 26, 2025.
